FRIDAY, JULY 17, 2026 It is the Court's policy that all litigants who are entitled to a trial by jury, shall have the right to petit jurors selected at random from a fair cross-section of the community in the division where the Court convenes. All qualified citizens who reside in the District of Idaho and are not exempt or disqualified, shall have an obligation to serve as jurors when summoned for that purpose.
Names for both grand jurors and petit (trial) jurors are randomly selected from combined lists of:
Voter registration information is provided by the Idaho Secretary of State through county voter registration records. Driver's license and state ID card information is provided by the Idaho Department of Motor Vehicles.
Using these combined lists helps ensure that juries are selected from a fair cross-section of the community throughout the District of Idaho.
A jury summons is typically mailed 4 to 6 weeks before your scheduled service date.

Failure to Respond Mailing (Required to complete Questionnaire(s) within 5 days upon receipt)
If you fail to respond to the jury summons within the ten (10) day requirement a Failure to Respond summons packet will be mailed to you with paper copies of the questionnaires. We encourage you to fill out the questionnaires electronically or you may complete them by hand and mail them to the jury office in the the provided envelope.
