Power down 10/29, ECF system down 11/4-11/5

Notice regarding two upcoming outages: Due to power system maintenance,  The US District and Bankruptcy Court systems for the District of Idaho will be down on Saturday October 29th from 1:00pm MDT until 2:00pm MDT. The courts will also be performing ECF server maintenance from 7:00 PM MST/ 6:00 PM PST on Friday, November 4 through 7:00 PM MST/ 6:00 PM PST on Saturday, November 5. This impacts all access to our PACER and ECF systems. Please pardon these disruptions and plan accordingly.

United States District Court

Chief Judge B. Lynn Winmill welcomes you to the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho.  In 1891 James H. Beatty was appointed by President Harrison to become the first Federal Judge for the District of Idaho.  We have a long and proud history rooted in our commitment to provide an impartial and accessible forum for the just, timely and economical resolution of legal proceedings within the jurisdiction of the Courts.

The District of Idaho has had 11 Article III Judges appointed by the President of the United States, with two of them currently presiding.  In addition to our two Article III Judges, we have four Magistrate Judges assisting with our busy workload.

Our judges hold court in BoiseCoeur d'AleneMoscow and Pocatello.
